Basted Mill Public Open Space

Since 2000 MVCP has been working with the Basted Mill Public Open Space Committee to improve the site for access, including bridge and step construction. MVCP is now aiding the restoration of the Mill Pond.

West Malling Parish - Macey's Meadow

MVCP has been working with the Parish for the past few years to improve a site for public open space. It includes areas of old orchard, meadow and now areas of new tree planting.

MVCP has helped with the initial Countryside Stewardship Application, Hedge Laying and Fencing.

Ditton Quarry Working Party

A former quarry was turned into a public open space by the Parish. MVCP has helped with practical support and management ideas.

Yalding Parish

We have worked with the Parish, through improvements to 'Yalding Tatt', a side channel of the River Beult and helped put Yalding Lees, Riverside flood meadows, into Countryside Stewardship, and offered practical support.

Borough Green Recreation Ground

The Parish Council approached us early in 2002 to see if we were able to improve an area of woodland adjacent to the recreation ground.

The improvements, for local walkers, include bridge and footpath improvements and steps to enhance access.
